We Miss You Grandma!

My Mother-in-law is a wonderful woman. We live 30minutes away from her and she does so much for us. She is always willing to help us! This past month she has been in Kansas City Missouri helping take care of her Sister-in-law and beloved friend Lin who has been in the final stages of cancer and who passed away yesterday. I just wanted you to know that we have missed you and are so proud of you for your unselfish and caring nature. You are such a good example to our family and WE LOVE YOU!

Easter and misc...

Better late than never!

We had a blast on the Saturday before Easter... we had an Easter Egg hunt at the church! The kids loved finding eggs...

Grady found one and went straight for the candy inside!
It was a relatively nice day, which have been few and far between around here!

We went on a road trip a few weeks back to see some of our good friends the Christensen's and we also went to see my niece Lydia blessed and got to see Lance and Becky and their family. It was a ton of fun... we stayed one night in a hotel and got to go swimming! The kids LOVED it! Thanks for all the fun!
Sadly I didn't take any pictures... except of the kids being silly in the car.

This is my girls favorite thing to do in the morning before Grady wakes up!

They love the computer. Sarah Jane watches and Carlie plays.

Fun at Sister day...
Every week some of my sisters and I get together at my Moms and visit while our kids play ALL DAY LONG! This particular day they were playing doctor with Kaylie and Mallary (their 11yr old cousins) they had a blast... broken arms and all!
Lunch time... the girls table!

I haven't been feeling very bloggy lately... thus the random post.

Carlie - "I don't want to be awesome. I want to be pretty!"
Sarah Jane - "Knock Knock"..."Who's there?"..."Orange"..."Orange who?"..."For me to eat!"

Randomness...

This is just what has been going on with us the last few weeks.
My newest Niece and Nephews! They are just too cute!

Thomas Dunn
I haven't held Tommy yet because he lives in Maryland... I want to kiss those cheeks!
Landon Waite
Landon lives close by and I get to see him at least once a week... I love it!
Lydia Waltman
Lydia lives in Twin Falls and I got to go a few weeks ago with my Mom and some of my sisters for a very short visit! Lydia is so tiny and sweet!
Becky, Lydia, and Lance... awww so cute!
Landon & Lydia
Lance was showing off his new dog Breeze... she is a hunting dog and can do some cool stuff!

SATURDAY PROJECT

We painted our bedroom and we LOVE it! It was white now it's blue... there is nothing like painting, it makes such a big difference yet it is so cheap! Many thanks to Natalie for taking so much of her time to figure out the paint and get it for us!
Above is Gus working hard... and below is the finished product!
It only took us a few hours to do and it was mostly during the kids nap time!
The other night we were getting ready to have family prayer and Gus was asking the girls to be reverent. Sarah Jane said that she could so she got down like this...
... and said "Ribbit! Ribbit!"
********************
The other day the kids and I made brownies from scratch and Carlie said,
"This is the BEST DAY EVER!"
Later that day when Sarah Jane woke up from her nap she came in the kitchen and sleepily said, "Mom, do you know why I love you?"
Me: "No, why?"
Sarah Jane: "Because you made brownies."

*********************************
Sarah Jane has started clearing her throat and saying,

"Uh Hum excuse me mom... I need a fruit snack!"

Saying goodbye to brass...

We love our house but have been wanting to make some upgrades. Our house has brass fixtures and knobs that are outdated and we finally changed them out!

Old Family Room Fan
Many thanks to my big brother Brandon for coming over two nights this week and helping Gus with wiring and for climbing into the attic! You are the BEST!
Bridger helped too!

Making a new outlet for our chandelier...
in the background you can see our old one that Gus and Brandon were excited to get rid of so they didn't hit their heads on it anymore!

Working hard!
Our new Chandelier from Costco!
We also found some nice ceiling fans at Costco for our family and living rooms!
Brandon was trying to blind me with his head lamp:)
We put this pretty fixture over our front door... I love it!
Our front room... the fan in the family room is the same.
New view from the front room... love it!
Good Bye Brass!
We also replaced the door knobs from this...
To This...
Next project is to paint my bedroom and the kids rooms!
I like the one on the left.
