Catching up... GRADY TURNS 2!

This year for Grady's birthday we went with some of the Drake family to Banbury Hot Springs outside Hagerman. We had a great time and spent all day there! Before we went we ran to Walmart and bought some floaties for our kids and they LOVED them! It was so nice because they could swim and play and not need to hold onto anyone. Grady and Sarah Jane are fearless which scares me somewhat, Carlie is very careful and is learning to go underwater!

We stopped for lunch/dinner and had yummy hogi sandwiches...
...and Grandpa Randy brought Chips Ahoy cookies! After our meal we got back in the pool for a couple more hours then headed to Grandpa Randy's house for a cake and presents!
I think we all feel this way after swimming all day and then getting into a warm car...
Sooooooo tired. After a long nap it was time to bring on the presents! Grady was very particular about how he opened his presents... one strip of paper at a time!
He loved his army guys, his jeep, and his mitt/ball!
Grady was so excited that he got cupcakes and got sung to that...
he blew out the candles before we even finished singing to him!
This kid LOVES frosting... cake not so much but for sure the frosting!
Grady is such a wonderful blessing in our home and in our lives!
He brings so much laughter and love wherever he goes...
we love you buddy!

July Camping Trip 2011

We had a great time camping with some of my family over the fourth of July!
We went with Mike and Julie, Shari and Elliot, Brandon and Natalie and Natalie's parents the Sharps!

Gus is a great Dutch Oven cook!

The kids had so much fun playing with their cousins!
Grady and Bridger had fun getting dirty!

The trails were pretty dusty when we went on 4wheelers with a group...the goggles helped!

We went for a nice girls ride!
It was so much fun there were a ton of trails
and beautiful views!
We were really close to Herrick Reservoir so we swam and fished!

Grady LOVED riding on the 4wheelers and always tried to drive.

Gus got a new grill last year and finally got to use it!

Aunt Natalie even brought some books to read to the kids... they loved it!

It wasn't working but Brayden pushed it up the hill several times so that Sarah Jane and Grady could ride it down... what a good cousin!

The Sharps have a really cool trailer that hooks up to the 4wheeler... the kids had a blast!
It also helped Grady and Sarah Jane fall asleep for nap time!

Grady kept us awake... he wasn't sure where he was.

The girls slept great but Grady was another story.

Every morning Sarah Jane would get up and say "It's morning time!"

Gus took the kids on several rides... these kids love him!

June

I have not updated my blog in over a month and that is mostly due to our computer crashing. We finally have our computer back and I have realized that June has flown by. We have been busy with family, friends, scouts, Sarah Jane's birthday, softball and so on but here is a quick recap.

Our fans are great! We are having an good season with six wins and two losses. It is so much fun playing softball with family and friends, we are having a blast coaching (most of the time)!
We have two games left in our season and then tournament!

I am grateful for Gus and the kind, loving, and fun father he is!

66 QUARTS OF STRAWBERRY JAM
Mom, Valerie, and I worked like crazy and did 142 quarts of strawberry freezer jam.
We love PB&J at our house so this was time and money well spent.
As Gus says our freezer is very happy!

CELEBRATION OF FLIGHT AIRSHOW
We got to look at some awesome planes and we even saw this one fly!
We got free VIP tickets through POWER (Gus' job) and it was awesome... they got their tickets from the people that built/flew this plane. It was super cool, we got special parking and special seating where there were drinks, snacks, and a catered lunch! We had a ton of fun!
We were so glad that we had a double stroller because it was a lot of walking.
The kids loved the helicopter!
They even got to sit in it!
What a great month we have had.
