Elm Grove Park

Two Saturdays ago we called up Grandpa Drake and asked him if he wanted to go to the park ...and he did! Gus played tennis with his Dad, I'm not sure who won but they had a good time! We went to Elm Grove park in down town Boise which is one of my favorite parks... although the trees had not blossomed yet. It is such a beautiful park and the playground is right next to the tennis courts!

Fun on the swings!
Grandpa was really nice to push the kids for so long!
Grady got a little sleepy on the swing with Dad.
Sarah Jane liked the swing on one setting... SLOW!
Sarah Jane the sliding machine!
Carlie enjoyed the swings... she loves under-doggies!
Grady was pretty hilarious on the swings... see the video below for proof!
Sarah Jane is very adventurous and isn't scared of anything! She was climbing to the top of the tower and going down the big slides.
Carlie loves the park and would stay all day if she could!

A Beautiful Day!

It was such a beautiful day on Wednesday! The sun was shining the wind wasn't blowing and we didn't need our coats! The girls had such a good time jumping on the trampoline and playing in the playhouse... thank goodness for craigslist! Grady and I just lounged on the blanket with a few toys and enjoyed the warmth of the sun... until he got bored and wanted to play in the little car that was given to us by Grandma Drake, she also gave us the little table and chairs! We had a lot of fun and I even remembered to put sun screen on them... so no sunburns. That is until we went out to my parents house yesterday and I forgot and their arms and faces got burnt... so sad! I love sunshine and warm weather!

How many Drakes can you fit into a tiny car?
Three... easy!
Grady wanted to drive... and pull hair... the girls loved that!
My babies are not babies anymore. Sarah Jane will be 2 in June and Grady is 9months today!

The day was so nice that I let the girls eat lunch outside. Maybe it would be more appropriate to say that I put their food out there and they played through lunch! They are such good friends most of the time and play "honey" all the time! I'm not sure what this play consists of but I hear Carlie say Mom and when I answer she says... "Not you, Sarah Jane!"

Easter!

This year we had our ward Easter Egg Hunt early because General Conference was on Easter weekend. The weather was pretty nice and the girls had a blast! They each got to find 12 eggs!

Carlie found too many and Sarah Jane found too few so everything worked out great!
Sarah Jane was so excited and loved hunting so we had quite a few more Easter egg hunts throughout the next week! She loved the basket too!

Easter morning found us early when I woke up to a mad little girl who couldn't find the treats that the Easter bunny left. Carlie was pretty funny... there is a video at the end of her.
This is what the Easter bunny left for Carlie!
And this is what the Easter Bunny left for Sarah Jane!
Grady didn't care at all but he was digging the purple paper...
... until he got bored!
This was for Gus and I to share... Yummy! I love Easter candy!

We had Gus' family... Grandma, Dad, Mom, Uncle Sam... over for Easter dinner! It was so good Gus made Ribs, potatoes, and salad! Yum! Watching Conference was perfect! It helped me remember the real reason we celebrate Easter... our Savior Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that He lived, died, and rose again!
